Image Doctor 2, is a powerful Photoshop plug–in from Alien Skin Software. Image Doctor’s 2 unique software algorithms can save what would be the perfect photo from the trash bin while saving you hours upon hours of Photoshop work trying to fix it.
What’s new?
Image Doctor 2 offers a number of improvements to the original release.
Image Doctor 2 now offers more seamless integration of replacement pixels with the existing background so that the edges of repaired areas now more smoothly blend with the balance of the photo. The software also is improved in its ability to match the patterns of the existing background. Image Doctor 2’s JPEG Repair offers higher quality fixes of JPEG compression.
Image Doctor 2’s range of skin retouching capabilities has also been expanded. The software’s Skin Softener and Blemish Concealer filters together offer a wider array of skin beautifying capabilities, including wrinkle softening and blemish removal.
The performance upgrades in Image Doctor 2 result from changes to the original rendering algorithms and to the program’s multithreading capacity. Other new improvements in Image Doctor 2 include 16–bit support, native support for Macintosh Intel computers, multiprocessor support, and a variety of user interface changes.
Image Doctor 2’s user interface has been simplified and made easier to use. The Smart Fill filter now offers an automatic mode that can be used when the source texture location is not important.

The large preview window lets you clearly see any change before it's applied to the photograph, so you can experiment and tweak as much as you want without having to pass back and forth between the plug–in and the host editing program. Click the OK button, it will return to the editing program and the changes will be applied.
