With the new packaging the type of filter is now easier to find or at least can be identified by the package name. The number of presets has tripled in most of the filters. You now have more control over some of the filters with the addition of new control sliders. The programmers found a way to increase the number of filters that reside on their own layer. This is a bonus, now you can mask or use a blend mode to increase/decrease the effect to your liking.

Visiting http://alienskin.com is also a treat. In the forum at their site you can download new presets,
find tutorials and software updates as well as post questions about the software.
(You have to join the forum to post).
A visit to this site would benefit those that are interested and view the examples provided by each filter.
